Watch how the back bends as the hind legs gather, turning the whole body into a tensed spring ready to uncoil. This powerful motion, allowed by the cat’s flexible spine and strong hindquarters, turns them into a living death missile that can approach and run down its prey at speeds of over 70 mph.
